With Web Clipper, I never need to copy and paste from the web.ħ) It cleans pages up – Web Clipper strips out the ads and social tools, leaving me with just the content I want. But all the highlighting, pasting, and switching between apps (or toggling between browser tabs) takes up unnecessary time. But with Web Clipper, I highlight and annotate important sections so that I can easily flag the bits I wanted to revisit.Ħ) Goodbye, copy + paste – Before I got Web Clipper, I would copy and paste paragraphs I liked or entire articles I wanted to save into a new note in Evernote. It’s kind of like going into a room and forgetting why you walked in there. So you won’t have to deal with those pesky 404 pages and broken links anymore.ĥ) It keeps me on point – Sometimes I save things only to forget why it caught my eye in the first place. With Web Clipper, you save the page or section you want as a note, instead of just grabbing the link. Sharing clips with friends is as easy as saving them for yourself.Ĥ) It’s permanent and it’s yours – Even the best content rots on the internet. With Web Clipper, you can save it all, and easily organize and find your clips later on any device.ģ) Sometimes you need to share – I don’t even like cats, but my friend sure would love this listicle of cat GIFs I just found. And it can feel like you only have room for the really important stuff-bookmarking every good GIF I’ve found would probably break my browser. I don’t need to wonder if I emailed it to myself or saved it to my bookmarks because I know it’s in Evernote.Ģ) You can’t bookmark everything – So they’ve figured out how to sync bookmarks to mobile browsers, but whether you’re on your phone or on your laptop, navigating through the folder tree of all the things you’ve saved is still messy. Here’s why:ġ) So quick, it’s kinda like cheating – If I think an article or piece of inspiration will come in handy one day, Web Clipper lets me make it mine. Web Clipper and Evernote.Īdding the Web Clipper extension to your browser makes Evernote a more powerful and essential part of your day.

The following items were fixed and/or added: Like many other virtualization solutions, for easy data exchange between hosts and guests, VirtualBox allows for declaring certain host directories as "shared folders", which can then be accessed from within virtual machines. There are also guest additions for OS/2 with somewhat reduced functionality. Among the features provided by these Guest Additions are mouse pointer integration and arbitrary screen solutions (e.g. VirtualBox has special software that can be installed inside Windows, Linux and Solaris virtual machines to improve performance and make integration much more seamless. Guest Additions for Windows, Linux and Solaris. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. VirtualBox is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware. Yes, various NLEs can natively work with the camera’s H.264 movie files, but I still find this native performance to be sluggish. Once that’s out of the way, the first thing I do with files from a Canon 5D or 7D is convert them to the Apple ProRes codec. This is your “negative” and you ALWAYS want to preserve it in its original and UNALTERED form. One application to consider for this purpose is Videotoolshed’s Offloader. Here is a step-by-step strategy for working with HDSLR footage, specifically from Canon 5D/7D/1D HDLSR cameras.īefore doing anything with the camera files, it is IMPERATIVE that you clone the camera cards. Many of the early post issues, like the need to convert frame rates, are now behind us. To date, I have edited about 40 spots and short-form videos that were all shot using the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. In six months, the post workflows might once again change. Nikon is coming on strong with its D7000 and Panasonic has made a serious entry into the large-format-sensor video camera market with its Micro 4/3” AG-AF100. The Canon cameras are the dominant choice, but that’s for today. To some extend this is a “refresh” of the Round II article, given the things I’ve learned since then. Although some of this information will seem redundant with earlier articles ( here and here), I decided it was a good time to set down a working recipe of how I like to deal with these files. The interest in HDSLR production and post shows no sign of waning. This in turn will hopefully lead to better looking art in your game, and thus making your game more appealing to your target audience, which hopefully includes me! WHY USE INKSCAPE? Thus I hope that by providing some information on my own efforts in learning how to use Inkscape I can also help teach others in improving their own skill. However I have yet to find a good tutorial on how to use Inkscape aimed for beginners. It is my opinion that vector art is extremely well suited to the beginner artist who is comfortable with using computers. In particular, I'm hoping this will be of use to game programmers who need "programmer art" for their games. Oh wait, you mean what is the point for you to read these tutorials? Well, these tutorials are primarily aimed towards helping beginners to becoming better artists. Finally the idea of writing these tutorials seemed like a lot of fun! As well as that I also get some experience in tutorial writing always a handy skill to have. Plus I get to draw lots of neat art for the tutorials and so get some more general art practice. While I still consider myself a beginner at art (and I probably always will), I thought creating a series of tutorials would help further my own art abilities as they say, the best way to truly learn a subject is to attempt to teach it to others. However I have always been in awe of the work of great artists and as a hobby have decided to put in the effort to try and improve my own skill. In fact, I have a software engineering and computer science background. I have to be honest with you: I am by no means a master at using Inkscape or art in general. A BRIEF INTRODUCTION: WHAT IS THE POINT OF THESE TUTORIALS? Get the Gringo - no subtitles Kodi does not find any subtitle tracks whatsoever Love and Mercy (Polish movie) - English subs are on for the Polish parts only (not too bad) Lincoln - works as expected English subs are on by default In MakeMKV I check both "English and English (forced)" however Kodi handles it quite strangely some examples: Most info on the internet is about forced subtitles yet since my wife and I usually watch movies at a low volume (don't want to take the baby!) - we use (English) subtitles. Hello all, I am in the process of digitizing my Bluray collection and had a question about the subtitle flags & behaviour in Kodi (18.9). If you’re not sure or it gets closed you can just ‘right click’ – ‘inspect element’ and that option stays on.
In this article, I will be challenging the latter statement for the purpose of ‘round-tabling’ the cybersecurity concerns associated with using BlueStacks for anything from QAing to developing full-fledged, mobile-friendly applications. Is BlueStacks Safe? Well, since this is an Android emulator, BlueStacks may have had inherited the same security flaws as its mobile counterpart. For a while now, people have been wondering about the security aspects of this Android virtualization environment. Later on, that status became less cloudy, particularly because Android is (semi) open-source (i.e., some costs may apply to manufacturers who want to install Google Mobile services). BlueStacks came out in the odd 2009 and, at that time, it had, more or less the same ‘legal status’ as Citra, Snes9x, or other Super Nintendo emulators – borderline legitimate. Although BlueStacks was designed for gaming, it’s also being used to test new Android apps before they’re published on Google’s Play Store – easier to test an app inside an IDE than downloading it on your smartphone. BlueStacks is unquestionable, one of the most appreciated Android emulators out there, a fact is proven by its 400+ million user community. Nevertheless, conflicts with the other members of the band led Muñoz to quit Colmillo Norteño in early 2010, and he founded his own band later that year, recruiting Armando Ramos as guitarist and backing vocalist, Martín López as sousaphonist, and Augusto Guido as drummer. With Muñoz, the group scored the hit songs " Sueño guajiro" and " Hotel El Cid" in 2009, among others. Before establishing Calibre 50, Edén Muñoz had been the accordionist and vocalist in the Norteño-banda group, Colmillo Norteño. Employees also attempt to bypass security controls to gain access to websites that breach acceptable internet usage policies, such as adult content sites, gaming and gambling sites, and P2P file sharing websites. In their haste, people act against the company’s and their own best interests. They often invoke urgency so that people will not stop to think. Adversaries are taking advantage of human nature and use social engineering attacks to play on our emotions and curiosity. Even with proper awareness and education by IT teams to online risks, we all can be tricked to click on a phishing link that seems legit. People are fallible, and they make mistakes. What is the Weakest Link in Cybersecurity? While security teams focus on the inbound threats from adversaries, they should also keep in mind in their risk assessments the weakest link in the security chain. Web threats are, by far, the dominant attack vector for which Secure Web Gateways (SWGs) and NG Firewalls utilize URL/content filtering, advanced threat defense, and malware protection to defend users from internet-borne threats, as well as help enterprises enforce internet policy and regulation compliance. Security professionals are in a constant battle to improve organizational security posture and prevent risks across all potential attack surfaces. An astounding 5,126,930,507 breached records in 2021 represent an 11% increase in security incidents compared to 2020, based on IT governance analysis. Cyberattacks continue to grow year over year. |
